A Software Apprenticeship at 8th Light

My name is Colin Jones, and I’m a programmer. Hi, Colin. After years of graduate school for trumpet performance, I’m getting serious about making a career out of my once-hobby: software development. It’s not that I don’t like playing the trumpet or aren’t any good. I just love programming, and I’ve concluded that it’ll serve as a better career for me.

Through a series of extremely fortunate events, I was given the opportunity to participate in 8th Light’s apprenticeship program, under the mentorship of Micah Martin. I blogged the experience here both for people who are interested in learning more about software apprenticeship and for my own retrospection.
